Adrienne has practised since 1991 and is admitted to practice in both Queensland and New South Wales. She has extensive experience in maritime law, not only as a lawyer, but also as a professional open ocean navigator and qualified meteorologist.

Adrienne is commonly briefed by clients in the shipping industry, particularly in relation to general marine claims, casualties and litigation. Her primary area of practice is acting for protection and indemnity group clubs as both a lawyer and general correspondent. She has worked in the maritime legal industry since her admission, not only for law firms, but also for industry participants.

In addition to her respected legal career, Adrienne has also achieved numerous professional yachting accomplishments, including:

  • Completing the Marine Forecasting for the Yacht Racing and Olympic Teams from 1984 to 2016;
  • Undertaking the role of Navigator for Circumnavigations in 1993-94, 1998, 2004, 2005;
  •  Navigator of Transatlantic Crossings 14 times;
  • Navigator of the to Hobart Race 24 times, including 6 Line honours wins, 2 overall wins and 2 race records;
  • Navigator of the Fastnet Race 3 times;
  • Competing in the Transpacific Races 3 times in 2007, 2008, 2013;
  • Being recognised as the Weather and Climate Expert for Litigation from 2006 to 2015.
  • Receiving the Australian Sports Award in 2000;
  • Being nominated 4 times for the World Yachtswoman of the Year in 1998, 2002, 2003 and 2004;
  • Winning Australian Yachtswoman of the Year in 2003 and 2005;
  • Setting 5 World Sailing Speed records including the Round the World 24 hour record in 2002 and the World Speed Record in 2004; and
  • Completing 3 global sailing circumnavigations in 1993-94, 1996-2005 and 2004.
