Experience
For over 18 years, Scott has acted as a corporate and commercial lawyer for government and private sector clients. In addition to providing general corporate and commercial advice to his clients, Scott’s areas of specialisation also include government procurement and probity advice (including administrative law issues), information technology and telecommunications, administrative and regulatory compliance, aviation law and employment law. He provides commercial, pragmatic, and outcome-focused advice, utilising his legal and IT&T expertise to ensure clients achieve the results they need. A snapshot of his experience includes:
- acting for a global telecommunications provider in the provision of a State-wide secure telecommunications network valued at over $1.2 billion;
- acting for numerous domestic and international airlines in the sale, acquisition and lease operation of narrow and wide body aircraft;
- providing IT & T commercial and regulatory advice to national and international carriers and advising on compliance with the Telecommunications Act 1997 and subordinate legislation;
- advising public and private sector entities on licensing arrangements and information security, intellectual property and data privacy issues and critical infrastructure requirements;
- providing employment advice and drafting employment contracts for small and mid-tier businesses and Fair Work Commission matters; and
- acting as probity advisor for in excess of $60 billion worth of projects at a Commonwealth, State and Local Government level.

- Entered on the roll of practitioners of the High Court of Australia, 2009
